Can you clarify how the chat works for breakout rooms? I could see the main chat, but my breakout room colleagues could only see their own chat. Or do you only start seeing the chat once you enter this Zoom session?

Is it possible to tell us how it should have worked?

So far, based on my experience, computer based students can see the main room chat when they are in breakout rooms, but cell phone based students cannot see main room chat when they are in breakout rooms.

Very frustrating that the mobile and computer platforms are so different and that we are having to learn this by trial and error.

Yes - unless you are team teaching, monitoring the chats is intensive. One way is to assign a student to monitor the chats

The Chat Monitor watches the Chat Box and Participants box and keeps the instructors and students on the same page. Also, they work on issues behind the scenes.
